- Metastorm Opens Hong Kong Office, Hires Asia Director

Baltimore -- Metastorm, a developer of Business Process Management (BPM) software, said that it is opening a new office in Hong Kong and has hired Paul Watts as Director of Asia Operations. Metastorm already has a number of customers in the region including AKPK, Bank Of China, Chubb & Sons, SBB Mutual, Standard Chartered Bank, and Talisman Energy. Metastorm says the new office will be valuable in providing local support to its customers. Paul Watts joins Metastorm from TIBCO.

- IndiSoft Adds Foreclosure Prevention Videos

Columbia -- IndiSoft and Coral Springs, Fla.-based Financial Literacy Solutions (FLS), last week announced a strategic partnership to bring Web-based tools to homeowners in need of foreclosure prevention assistance. Using a series of educational videos, FLS enables consumers to learn about their options to avoid foreclosure, and how to work with nonprofit counseling agencies to assist completing modification packages. The FLS partnership with IndiSoft combines these educational tools with IndiSoft’s flagship product RxOffice Homeowner/Borrower portal, which assists housing counselors and consumers in submitting supporting loan modification documents to mortgage companies.

- The Daily Record Hires Managing Editor for Online

Baltimore -- The Daily Record reported last week that Rob Terry has joined the paper as Managing Editor/Online and Special Publications. He will oversee all of the publication’s Web, blog, and social media operations.Terry brings nearly 15 years of journalism experience to his new position. Terry, a graduate of Towson University with a MA in Journalism from Northeastern University, began his career with Chesapeake Publishing. He moved to The Washington Post Co. in 1998, where he was a business and technology reporter for the Tech Gazette and the Washington Techway Magazine. Terry came to the Baltimore Business Journal in 2003 as a staff reporter and was promoted to Associate Editor and Web Editor in 2006.
